Celebrate 2024 Year of the Wulong Dragon

2024! It’s our year - Year of the Dragon!

Wulong wishes you abundant health in 2024 the Chinese Year of the Wood Dragon.

It’s a special year for Wulong to celebrate the symbol of our school - Wulong translates to "martial arts dragon" in English - highlighting our highly successful online and in person wushu, taichi and qigong training provided by Australia’s most professional taichi, qigong and wushu teacher and practitioner, Professor Lily Sun.

In the Chinese culture, the dragon represents good luck, strength, and health. So it’s the perfect time to wake your inner dragon and join a Wulong class today to experience the renewal of body and spirit that Wulong students experience and set the foundations for your future health.

Professor Lily has been out and about providing corporate services in August and September. Each program is custom designed. Here are two very different samples of her exciting corporate services

Absolute Care & Health

Dedicated providers of personalised individual support and nursing services, perfectly matched to their clients. They work across in-home aged care, the NDIS (disability support) and recovery care.

As part of their Wellness program for August 2023, Absolute Care & Health invited Professor Lily Sun to conduct several tai chi / qigong workshops. Professor Lily gave a very enthusiastic group of health workers an introduction to the intricacies and benefits of Ba Duan Jin which was very much appreciated by the whole group. Absolute enjoyed Lily's experience, warmth and professional teaching skills for a mindful pause to prioritise their well-being. As leaders in home care, they also lead in nurturing team well-being.

“Under the expert guidance of Australia’s premier Tai Chi, Qigong, and Wushu (Chinese Martial Art) instructor, Professor Lily Sun, our team explored these ancient practices, unlocking a world of inner peace, flexibility, and balance. These disciplines don't just enhance physical well-being; they also nurture the mind and spirit.”

“As we continue to provide unparalleled in-home care and support, we equally prioritise the wellness of our dedicated team.”

Greenvale Secondary College

The Language program at Greenvale Secondary College has been exemplified by the high numbers of students electing to continue their studies of Italian and Chinese into Year 9.

In the final week of term, Greenvale Secondary School celebrates languages with a college-wide suite of activities. As well as cultural experiences of food, music and dance. Languages Week culminated on Thursday when Professor Lily was invited to the school to teach Kung Fu.

Some great shots of the College’s Year 7 Language and Cultural Immersion Day to celebrate the Chinese language taught at the College.

All our taichi, qigong and wushu services are designed and supervised by Professor Lily Sun, 8th Duan Professor of Chinese Martial Arts, Wuhan University.
